Christmas on Deer Creek will take place this year on Saturday, December 3 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Despite the scheduling change, it is again expected to be bigger and better than ever before. Children and adults alike will be delighted to see the familiar faces of some beloved classic characters such as the Berenstein Bears and Winnie the Pooh. Landrum’s Homestead and Village is a charming replica of a late-1800s settlement. You can take a tour of the village and enjoy Christmas music, food, photos with Santa, wagon rides, gem mining, marshmallow roasting, a bonfire, funnel cakes, and hot chocolate. What a fun time! Another unique Christmas experience is the Annual Star Party at the Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. You will get to take a hay ride and look through telescopes for a meteor shower. There are crafts for kids of all ages, a cookie decorating station, and hot chocolate. Maybe the best part about it is it’s free!
