Hidden alongside a rural road in the upstate of South Carolina is a wonderful little roadside attraction that’s guaranteed to make you do a double take, and even make a u-turn. Popular all year-round, it’s the kind of place you’ll go back to on the regular. Read on to learn why.

Affectionately known as Tiny Town, the attraction is open all year — and has a backstory that'll melt your heart.

Tiny Town began in 1974, when a devoted husband built a small version of a cabin in their yard for his wife to admire.
The cabin, as the story goes, represented one the two would love to have built in the wilds for their family.

But it was only the start of what the couple would build together over the years.
From there, the couple (the Jennings, who passed away in 2009) kept on building, adding to their tiny town again and again.

Before the Jennings passed away in 2009, there were more than 80 small buildings and structures/displays in Tiny Town. Some have crumbled over the years, but at least 25 remain.
But that's not all.

In 1977, the Jennings began adding lights during the holidays and the public started coming - year after year.

For many locals, a visit to Tiny Town during the holidays is now an annual tradition.

They even serve hot cocoa on some nights during the holiday displays.

Admission is always free, but there is a donation box where any amount you can afford to donate is always appreciated.
Not many people know about Tiny Town outside of Easley.
