Last summer, Simsbury made TIME Magazine’s list of Best Places To Live and came in at number 9! TIME makes its decisions based on factors like job growth, median household income, median home price and property taxes. With a population just under 25,000, this small town made big waves by making it onto the top ten. This is their fourth time making the list, but by breaking the top ten the residents have proven that their small town only gets better. If that doesn’t have you convinced, here are even more reasons why you should relocate to this place!
If you think the view from the top is incredible, imagine living down there! This town has held on to a lot of its green, making for picturesque views no matter where you are!
2. The Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge is pretty neat.
If you love the old colonial look and houses built hundreds of years ago, then you will love being in this town! Even their Memorial Day parade features old cars and fire engines.
I think it's interesting when there's a little bit of mystery. In this case, the first ten years of town records were accidentally burned in 1680. So we can't be sure why it's called Simsbury or how things began.
There is just no other place that quite matches up to the combination of affordability, natural beauty, and architectural perfection. And literally, Simsbury is the only place named Simsbury in the whole world! Too bad those records are lost because now we'll never know where the name came from!
I bet you wish you were there right now! Well don’t fret, because this video tour is the next best thing.
Were you surprised to see Simsbury at the top, or did you know it all along?
