Do you love a good scare? Are you brave enough to spend the night in a historic inn that is rumored to be haunted by multiple spirits? When you spend the night at the historic Gooding University Inn in Southern Idaho, you may want to bring a bucket of courage with you. Your stay at this haunted hotel in Idaho may be filled with relaxation and comfort, or it might be a night of chills and thrills.
Gooding University Inn is located in — you guessed it — the small town of Gooding. When first arriving at this southern Idaho inn, you may not think twice about your stay.
This beautiful building was built in 1917 and was originally Gooding College, the only place to receive higher education in Idaho between Caldwell and Pocatello. Approximately 209 students attended this college during its peak enrollment in 1928.
Unfortunately, in 1938, the school was shut down. However, the building didn’t remain empty for long. In the 1940s, the building was converted into a tuberculosis hospital.
The hospital was a critical part of the community and the entire United States. In fact, this hospital in Gooding was one of the most advanced hospitals for tuberculosis in the entire nation at the time.

The hospital remained in business until the 1970s. Years later, in 2004, the doors were opened once more as a unique bed and breakfast that welcomed paranormal investigators who wanted to spend time in a former hospital.
Today, this inn in Idaho is welcoming, inviting, and relaxing. During your visit, you can stay in an individual bedroom; or, if you wish to come as a large group, you can reserve an entire wing.
Whether you stay at this inn on your own or with a group, you might be in for a night full of spooks and frights. This Idaho Inn is rumored to be haunted by multiple spirits.
Much of the reported paranormal activity has taken place in the basement. Down there, individuals have reported being attacked by unseen forces, felt ghosts nearby, and have been poked and prodded -- despite being alone.
Many individuals have also reported hearing whispers and footsteps in the hallways or have seen the apparition of an angry spirit who lurks in the guest rooms. Chilling, isn't it?
