I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Did you know that Massachusetts is the second largest producer of cranberries in the country behind Wisconsin? In 2020 alone, the state produced 2.06 million barrels of the crimson-colored berries. It’s almost hard not to think of Massachusetts when cranberries are mentioned! During the fall harvest season, cranberry bog tours are offered through the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers Association. If you’ve ever been curious about the process and how these berries go from the bog to your Thanksgiving dinner table, a Cranberry Bog Bus Tour is a great way to learn.
Would you like to witness a cranberry harvest this year? If you’ve been on the Cranberry Bog Bus Tour in the past, please tell your fellow readers about the experience in the comments. For more information and to book your tickets, visit the website and follow the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers’ Association on Facebook.
