Adventure’s never far away, especially in Missouri. We can find some pretty unique destinations, too, that promise one-of-a-kind adventures. Moberly Mini Train in Missouri, for example, draws both kids and adults of all ages, offering a whimsical and a fun way to spend an afternoon.
Nestled in the 456-acre Rothwell Park in Moberly, the Moberly Mini Train chugs along the tracks every Sunday afternoon, weather-permitting, from April through October.
Climb aboard the miniature train at Lions Station for a more than one-mile scenic journey around Rothwell Park. Snap photos of the passing landscape, including colorful gardens, as you slowly make your way along the track.
Travel along the Magic City Line with other travelers. The miniature train accommodates riders of all ages, including offering special seats for those with disabilities and for the elderly.
The mini railroad is run by the Moberly Friends of the Park Foundation. In addition to individual rides, the railroad offers group rides with a minimum of 25 guests.
Tickets cost just $2.50 per rider. However, babies are free with an adult. If you want to experience this one-of-a-kind train ride, make sure you visit Rothwell Park on Sundays from April through October from 1 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
A train ride is the perfect way to start a visit to Rothwell Park, which promises something for everyone – from a playground and a dog park to a disc golf course and an archery range.
