You’ve probably heard of ramen bars before, but what about a ramen bus ? Yes, it actually exists and you’ll find it right here in Idaho. Sukuru Basu Ramen is a locally-owned eatery that is bringing authentic Japanese ramen to eastern Idaho. Located inside of a renovated school bus, it’s certainly a unique place to dine! Give this place a shot the next time you feel like a bowl of hot ramen. You’re gonna love it!
Located in Idaho Falls, Sukuru Basu Ramen is dedicated to serving up quality food on-the-go - literally. This food truck is actually a "food bus", and it's a must-visit for passionate food lovers.
The appearance of this ramen restaurant in Idaho is certainly unconventional, but the food itself is anything but. Sukuru Basu proudly serves authentic Japanese ramen at reasonable prices. If you love ramen, you'll definitely love it!
From the moment you step aboard the renovated school bus, your senses will be overwhelmed with the delicious smell of fresh ingredients and flavorful broth. Take a seat at one of the "tables" and prepare for a dining experience like no other.
The menu is very simple with just four ramen options to choose from: Tonkotsu Ramen, Gyukotsu Ramen, Vegetable Ramen, and Idahoan Ramen.
The Tonkotsu Ramen is always a great option when you feel like a bowl of classic ramen. Consisting of creamy miso pork bone broth, fresh handmade noodles, pork, and a marinated soft-boiled egg, this ramen is every bit as good as it looks.
The Vegetable Ramen is great for those who feel like something a bit lighter. Made with miso vegetable broth, noodles, tofu, corn, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, and steamed carrots, this combination makes for a very light and refreshing bowl of ramen.
Feel like something that's a bit unique? The Idahoan Ramen will hit the spot. It's made with a meaty beef broth with "Idaho sauce", house-made potato needles, sliced steak, Manwaring chipotle cheese curds, caramelized onions, corn, carrots, and scallions - truly an "Only in Idaho" specialty!
Sukuru Basu Ramen operates Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Visit their website to see their current location and learn more.
