Vulcan is the main attraction at Vulcan Park and Museum, which is located in Birmingham, Alabama.
Sculpted by Giuseppe Moretti in the early 1900s, this incredible statue depicts the Roman god of fire and forge.
With a height of 56 feet and a weight of more than 100,000 pounds, Vulcan is the world's largest cast-iron statue. It's also
the largest metal statue ever constructed in the United States.
Standing atop of Red Mountain on a 124-foot pedestal, Vulcan overlooks "The Magic City" and offers one of Alabama's most breathtaking views.
