Located in the William C. Whitney Wilderness Area, it doesn't get much more secluded or beautiful than Lake Lila.

Since it's in a Wilderness Area, no motorboats are allowed, but kayaks, paddlers, and canoes are welcome here.
It goes without saying that the Adirondack area has some really incredible surroundings. There's something so special about being out on the water here.

There was once an Adirondack Great Camp, Forest Lodge, on the shores of Lake Lila, but that was razed when the state purchased the site.

The area is now a lot more secluded. There are tons of wildlife (especially loons!) here, but otherwise you aren't too likely to encounter many people.
