A sweet treat makes every day a little bit better, and Utahns have tons of options when it comes to goodies. From ice cream parlors to candy shops and bakeries, there’s a locally-owned business with decadent, homemade desserts for every palate. Icy Mountain offers frosty, shaved ice treats with unique flavors you’ll love.
When the temperature in Salt Lake City rises, head to Icy Mountain for a cool, refreshing treat. This locally-owned business got its start with a food truck in 2019, and people have been watching for it all over town ever since.
The treats at Icy Mountain aren't just typical snow cones - these confections are special. You can get them "Basic," with just the flavorings over ice...
Shown is the "Icy Mountain," which is a combination of tiger's blood and blue raspberry syrup, served "boujee" style with fresh strawberries and coconut on top.
The flavor combinations are unique and delicious. Try the orange creamsicle, pina collada, spicy mango, and caramel apple, or create your own combination.
The coconut macaroon is one of Icy Mountain's newest creations, and it's to die for. Vanilla ice cream is topped with shaved ice, condensed milk, coconut syrup, chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, and coconut. Yum!
The hard work of owners Jared and Amanda Young Clavell was recognized when City Weekly named Icy Mountain the "Best Minority-Owned Business" in its 2020 Best of Utah edition.
Visit Icy Mountain at its shop in Millcreek Monday through Saturday, starting at noon. You'll also want to keep an eye on Icy Mountain's Facebook page so you can see where the food truck will be.
