It’s not always easy to entertain curious kids without a little outside help. When the weather’s nice, heading out for a hike or to the water is a great way to do it. But, here in New Hampshire that’s not always a reliable way to plan the day. That’s why we’re always on the lookout for activities and attractions that can be enjoyed in any kind of weather. Bonus points if the kids actually ask to go! This museum was recently voted one of the best in the state and it’s great for both kids and adults!
The Children's Museum of New Hampshire, located in Dover, is consistently ranked as one of the best museums for kids in New England.
Just about everything here is interactive making this more than just a museum. It's a place to stay busy while learning about the world. Most times kids won't even know they're in an educational environment.
In spaces like the Thinkering Lab, kids can test different design ideas and bring them to life. There aren't many places today where kids can have hands-on ways of using their creativity and that's what helps make this place so special.
Plan on a morning or afternoon at the museum and be sure to add in some time to have a picnic on the lawn. This is the type of place you can enjoy all day, both indoors and out!
The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire is open for two sessions Tuesday through Saturday.
