Out on the 50,000-acre Murray Lake, there are 3 different islands and plenty of boating opportunities. Hiking trails also provide great opportunities for scenery hunting, because the best angle is sometimes a little beyond what you see.
Whether you're camping or staying in one of their cozy cabins away from the weather and rocky ground, this state park is a great home away from home. Dreher Island has plenty of campsites and 5 lakeside villas to choose from, in varying sizes.
In the mornings, getting up a bit earlier means treating yourself to one of the most beautiful sights South Carolina can create. This stunning scene is all free, included with a visit or stay to the park.
