When you enter the little town of Chittenango, you’re definitely not in Kansas anymore. This small town in New York is famous as the birthplace of L. Frank Baum, the author of “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” and its many sequels. The book was a bestseller and became a nationwide phenomenon when adapted into a film in 1939. The All Things Oz Museum is a volunteer-run facility that displays all kinds of Oz-themed memorabilia.

The museum is self-guided and sometimes offers volunteer-run tours. If you walk through it yourself, there are QR codes available to scan and learn more information about the exhibits.
They've got a surprising array of items in their collection, and more than 1,000 are on display at any given time.
