One of our favorite swimming holes in the state is actually a pretty, secluded lake called Hooks Creek Lake. Here’s what you should know before planning your visit.

One of the highlights of the park is Hooks Creek Lake. It's a great place to swim and never gets crowded.

The lake is such a hidden gem in Jersey! It's about six acres, so it's not huge, but it's pretty and quiet.
Swimming is allowed at the lake from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and there are lifeguards present.

There is also a changing area and bathrooms, as well as a refreshments stand. Basically, you have all you need for a great swimming day.
