Located in the woods of Cape Cod is an 88-acre airfield that dates all the way back to the 1920s. Once a training field for the Army Air Corps, it is now a private airpark owned by the town of Barnstable. Whether or not you decide to go skydiving or take a ride on a biplane, you are more than welcome to visit Cape Cod Airfield to watch the planes and skydivers take off.

Set among the 88-acre Cape Cod Airfield are three grass runways, two airplane hangars, and a charming windmill.

The historic airfield is home to 21 private planes including DC-3s, a Beech 18, a Seabee, and antique taildragger planes. A skydiving business and aerial advertising business also make their homes here.

Visitors are welcome to swing by and watch the biplanes and skydivers take off into the sky. Feel free to pack a picnic as there's a picnic table to use as well as Adirondack chairs to sit back and relax in. And children will have fun playing on the biplane rocking horse.
