The Rutledge Trail is part of the Idaho Centennial Trail, which is a 900-mile-long trail that stretches from the Idaho-Nevada border to the Idaho-British Columbia border.
This small section of the trail runs for five miles along the northeastern shore of the lake. Starting at the trailhead where you'll find a parking lot and restrooms, the trail meanders alongside the lake's shore before terminating at Higgins Point.
The trail itself is paved and wide. It's perfect for all types of users, whether you find yourself on foot or on wheels. The well-maintained trail is a gentle grade with only a handful of semi-steep sections.
