Colorado is home to more amazing state parks than we can count, but which park is the best of them all? According to the international travel website and magazine Travel + Leisure, it is Eldorado Canyon State Park, and here is why:
As per the publication, Eldorado Canyon simply cannot be beaten, as it is "home to one of the state's most scenic canyons," plus offers incredible sandstone cliffs, hiking opportunities, and can't-beat climbing routes.
In addition to Eldorado Canyon State Park, Travel + Leisure names such other must-visit parks as the Lost Dutchman State Park in Arizona, Backbone State Park in Iowa, and Itasca State Park in Minnesota.
Located near Boulder, Eldorado Canyon State Park is home to a jaw-dropping 885 acres, which, as was mentioned by Travel + Leisure, features gigantic sandstone cliffs that make the area even more stunning and unique.
As if the climbing and photography opportunities were not reason enough to visit, there are also plenty of trails to explore, ranging in length from .7-miles to a 7.5-mile loop complete with a 1,000-foot elevation gain.
