Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). As any resident of Texas knows, the Lone Star State has no shortage of great trails. Our magnificent scenery and huge size lends itself well to a virtually unlimited number of places for hiking. At nearly 800,000 acres, it goes without saying that Big Bend National Park has a variety of paths for visitors to explore. With over 75 marked trails, there’s plenty to see here. One of the most popular trails in the park is the Window Trail. This five-mile trek may be a bit of a hike in the Texas heat, but the views are definitely worth it!
