This waterside retreat comes complete with a vineyard, wine tastings, a lovely restaurant, llamas and other farm animals, and rustic yet luxurious overnight accommodations so you don’t have to drive anywhere after an afternoon or evening of enjoying the fruits of the labors of this vineyard.

One of the newest wineries on the coast is a must-visit for wine lovers.

Reserve a spot for a tasting during business hours before 5 p.m. and sample a variety of Cape Fear wines.

Enjoy them inside the winery's restaurant, The Cork Room, or wander the grounds with your wine(s) in hand. There is much to see and admire on the property!

Of course, no visit to Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery would quite be complete without biting into some of the delicious food served in the restaurant, too.

The Cork Room is open Wednesday through Saturday starting at 11:30 a.m. and closes at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, 10 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday. It opens at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday and closes at 8 p.m.

Eat inside among the many works of art that line the walls, or out by the water. A variety of menu items feature American fare such as steaks, seafood, chicken, and more.

Reserve one of the Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery cottages for your visit and then once your belly is full with delicious food and you've emptied your last bottle of wine, you can wander on back to your cottage with plans to sleep in the next day.

The cottages are roomy and have all of the many comforts of home.

Also be sure to carve out enough time to explore the grounds of the winery.

You'll love the llamas and the donkeys. Both are friendly and eager to meet the guests!
