In Western Wisconsin, a throwback ride will help you discover some wonderful local vintages. The Hudson Trolley Company offers several tours aimed at people who love craft beverages. A winery tour travels to three of the St. Croix Valley’s premier wineries and a Grain to Glass Distillery Tour visits two local distilleries. If you can’t decide between wine and spirits, a Wine, Brew & Distillery Tour lets you sample a little bit of everything. Intrigued? Here’s what you need to know about the Hudson Trolley Company’s tours.
The tours are based out of Hudson, a short drive from the Twin Cities. The tours board and depart from 1004 Third Street in
Hudson.
The Winery Tour is a chance to sample and learn about the wineries of the St. Croix Valley. Each winery shares its unique story and showcases its favorite wines. A private tasting is included in the experience.
The Grain to Glass Distillery Tour gives participants a chance to learn about the distilling process as they sip a little bit of the product. Hudson’s own ‘Demon Rum' is offered on the Trolley and participants all receive a souvenir glass.
The Wine, Brew & Distillery Tour includes three stops, each with a private tasting and special insights from the businesses. It’s a tasting for any taste and food is available for purchase.
While the craft beverage tours are popular with adults, the trolley has other tours that are fun for families, including scenic tours and scavenger hunt tours.
Check the Hudson Trolley Company’s website for the latest offerings and to book a seat on the next tour. Interested in exploring more of Wisconsin’s craft beverage scene? Here are 13 picture-perfect wineries you should visit and here are 13 of the state’s best small-town breweries.
