Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Indiana is home to more than 20 state parks (24, to be exact), each with its own draw and appeal, and we encourage you to see them all. However, one of those parks, in particular, stands out to us as the best state park in Indiana, both for its breathtaking summertime landscapes and its year-round appeal. Plus, there’s so much to do that maybe one weekend isn’t enough time to explore it all.
Editor’s note: Due to a tornado in March 2023, several hiking trails and the campground are temporarily closed. Please visit the McCormick Creek State Park website for the most current updates.
