Eagle Island State Park is a gorgeous 545-acre that's just west of Boise, Idaho. With a ton of great features and beautiful scenery, it makes for a fantastic spot to spend a summer day!
Bordered by the Boise River, the park's idyllic setting presents the opportunity for all sorts of outdoor activities. From horseback riding and hiking to picnicking and swimming, there's something for all families at Eagle Island.
In the summer, you'll often see the swimming beach filled with visitors soaking up the sun and keeping cool in the river. The river's waters are great for casually wading around. Paddle-board rentals are available at the park's visitor center, too!
However, it's the park's big waterslide that's the place to be on a hot summer day. It costs $1 for one ride, $8 for ten rides, or $12 for as many times as you can pack in during a single day.
Eagle Island also contains many group shelters for when you need a respite from the sun. And with plenty of grassy areas shaded by trees, you won't find a shortage of spots where you can lay out a blanket and enjoy the park's tranquil vibe
Eagle Island is also home to a 19-hole disc golf course that's perfect for the disc golf enthusiast. Plus, there are five miles of hiking trails for exploring when you feel like stretching your legs. There's truly something for everyone!
