I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
If you’ve seen the 1993 movie Groundhog Day, you may recognize Cherry Tree Inn Bed and Breakfast where Bill Murray’s character Phil stayed. This picturesque Victorian is far more than a film location, however. Providing luxurious accommodations, an exceptional homemade breakfast freshly prepared each morning of your stay, and gorgeous grounds to stroll, a stay here is one to remember.
The famous Cherry Tree Inn Bed and Breakfast is a charming historical Victorian home with four large well-appointed guest rooms, all located on the second floor.
The Magnolia Room is where Bill Murray's Groundhog Day character stayed. Enjoy the same view as he did in the movie. Don't worry, your day won't repeat itself over and over again, although you may wish it did after spending one night in this luxurious room.
The Black Walnut Room, located in the cozy turret, has a comfortable four-poster bed that will make you feel like royalty. It also has views of the archway which was seen in the movie.
The two other suites are The Cherry Blossom Suite and The Old Oak Suite. Rooms may be booked individually or you can rent the entire home if you have a large group or event. Each room also comes with a DVD player and a copy of Groundhog Day for your enjoyment.
Each morning of your stay, coffee, freshly baked goods, and a homemade breakfast are served in the dining room. Most of the ingredients used are organic and sourced locally from the bi-weekly farmers' market and co-op.
