Some people embrace bone-chillingly frightening thrills, like those found in a haunted house or on the most terrifying roller coaster at an amusement park. Those of us who prefer something a bit calmer can find those take-your-breath-away moments on numerous hiking trails. Keystone College Trail in Pennsylvania features a suspension bridge that might just create knots in your stomach.
Winding just over three miles through a forested area near Dalton, Keystone College Trail is rated easy for hikers of all ages and all skill levels.
You will have to climb up a set of old stairs, which can be tricky, so watch your step as you're going up. Keep an eye out for local wildlife - frogs, toads, and deer - too.
The highlight of the trail, however, is arguably the suspension bridge, which is actually the start of the picturesque trail. If you're not a fan of heights, you might get a few butterflies.
Have you followed the Keystone College Trail in Pennsylvania? Did the suspension bridge make you nervous? Share your experience in the comments! When you’re on the hunt for a refreshing swimming hole and a gorgeous waterfall, set off on the Haystacks and Dutchman Falls Trail near Dushore.
