Old Salem is a historic district in North Carolina in the very spot settled by the Moravian people in 1766.
During COVID, visitors have been able to gain a keen sense of what life was like for the Moravian community by simply wandering through the historic district. Many historic buildings and replicas of historic buildings still exist, providing much perspective to visitors.
But we're also so very glad the community, itself, is still open to visitors even during these tough times.
