Once such iconic scene, according to rumors, is Babcock State Park’s Glade Creek Gristmill.

Tucked away in Babcock State Park in the New River Gorge region of Fayette County, West Virginia, is a fully functional grist mill still used regularly for grinding corn and grain - Glade Creek Gristmill.

Built in 1976 with pieces and parts of several local mills, this mill pays homage to the hundreds of gristmills that once dotted the West Virginia waterways.
