Belton may not be your idea of a vacation destination; it’s got under 4,500 residents and isn’t near any of South Carolina’s big tourist centers. Hiding in this tiny little southern town is a true gem, Grits & Groceries. The small restaurant serves food so good it’s literally put Belton on the map after features in The New York Times and on The Food Network.
Don’t forget dessert! The fried pies at Grits & Groceries in South Carolina are made the old-fashioned way, with lard, so they are extra tasty and flaky.
