A hot air balloon ride is pure magic; a delightful experience, wherein you’re gently transported high above the treetops, slowly floating through endless skies. Add in several majestic mountains, a seemingly endless expanse of bucolic vineyards, one rushing, resplendent river, and you have the makings of an experience you’ll never forget. The Willamette Valley is one of the most spectacular areas in Oregon.
This resplendent region has become synonymous with Oregon Wine Country, as it contains more than 19,000 acres of vineyards, representing 500 (!) different wineries.
The Willamette River spans the entire 150 miles of the eponymous valley, which is surrounded by majestic mountains on three sides: the Cascade Range to the east, the Oregon Coast Range to the west, and the Calapooya Mountains to the south.
