In the spring and summer, one of our favorite spots is a beautiful field of peony plants at Hidden Springs Flower Farm. Hidden Springs Flower Farm is a farm in Spring Grove, Minnesota. It's in the southeastern corner of the state, near the Wisconsin and Iowa borders, about 150 miles from the Twin Cities.
They are particularly well known for their potted peonies. There are many different varieties to be had, and they're a wonderful way to add some of the peony's lush beauty - and fragrant scent - to your yard.
The farm opens in early May for people to purchase plants. And in June, the farm opens for the Peony Festival. During the festival, you can see a field of thousands of peonies!
There are many different colors as well, from soft pink to white to deep red. You'll love browsing the blooms at the Peony Festival - and you may even be inspired to plant some yourself!
