In the 1950s, a friend of Pascal was visiting the restaurant, raving about this one particular shrimp dish he had gotten while in Chicago.

Pascal’s brother, Jake got to work in the kitchen, attempting to recreate it. When he served it to his friend, the friend said it was even better than the dish he had tried in Chicago. They decided to keep it on the menu, and as they say… the rest is history!
