The endless waterways of Kentucky make for some of the best adventures in our state. They are also incredibly scenic and we have it all – from crashing waterfalls to wide rivers and massive lakes. If you want to spend time outdoors, time spent by water is always the way to go. And if you want to see an unbelievable emerald creek in Kentucky, head to the Turkey Foot area of Daniel Boone National Forest. This hiking area and campground near London are perfect for nature lovers and the creeks around here are wonderfully scenic.

Daniel Boone National Forest is filled with campgrounds and hiking trails. Located near London, Turkey Foot offers both and remains somewhat of a hidden gem with some of the most beautiful water in the state.

The Sheltowee Trace Trail winds through this area and there are several miles to explore. Some sections are very easy, especially those near the campground. Others are more challenging.

But the scenery is worth it. A few creeks pass through this area and it's a beautiful place to explore all year long.

The website also gives a description of each section of the trail and how to get there. Head toward the campground and you should be able to track down the scenic spots.
Alltrails/William Davis
Speaking of the campground, this wooded area is situated along War Fork Creek and is a gorgeous spot for tent camping. And if you stay here, you can have easy access to the trails and the unbelievable emerald waters.

This truly is an emerald creek in Kentucky that seems too beautiful to be real.
