Take An Easy Loop Trail To Enter Another World At Noxubee Wildlife Refuge In Mississippi
When you’re looking for a hike that’s scenic – not strenuous – a visit to Noxubee Wildlife Refuge is in order. An outdoor oasis, it spans thousands of acres. Don’t be intimidated, though. Exploring the grounds is a breeze thanks to several hiking trails. Each trail has something to offer; however, if it’s a short and scenic trek you want, you won’t be disappointed with one loop trail in particular.
Though the terrain is somewhat hilly, Scattertown Trail is considered fairly easy. However, it should be noted that it’s not wheelchair accessible. There are a couple of things to keep in mind before navigating Scattertown Trail. First, decent footwear – i.e. no flip-flops – is a must. Also, if you visit during deer hunting season, it’s recommended that you wear orange. For more information on Scattertown Trail, call the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge at (662) 323-5548.
