You have seen Colorado from the tippy-top of our mountains to the bottom of the plains and literally everywhere in between, so you may think that you have seen the Centennial State every which way. Right? We happened to think we had seen it all, too, until we checked out these 10 jaw-dropping shots of Colorado from space:
1. Nearly every summer, Colorado has its fair share of devastating wildfires, which can be seen in a whole new way via this shot from Nasa.
2. The Northern Lights are easy to spot in places like Alaska and Iceland, but not in the Centennial State... If you are over Colorado, however, you may get to see the lights in a whole new way!
3. Can you guess what this aerial shot depicts? If you said snow-capped peaks along the Front Range, you would be correct.
4. You have seen the snow fall from the ground below, but never from over the clouds... until now, that is.
5. Can you make out what's in this shot? Why, it is our very own Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve of course!
6. The Colorado Plateau, courtesy of the one and only International Space Station.
7. Another heartbreaking overhead shot of fires in Colorado (the Fourmile Canyon Fire near Boulder).
8. A wide shot that captures both the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains in one frame!
9. A Landsay image (AKA continuously acquired images of the Earth's land surface) of Denver.
10. An oldie but goodie of the Colorado/Utah border, captured in June 1973.
