This 2,550-acre resort park is bursting with vibrant activity and beautiful scenery to make a perfect vacation for the whole family. Situated on the shores of Lake Wheeler, you can enjoy swimming, boating, and watersports easily from one of the lakeside cottages. The waterfront lodge also features a restaurant for on-the-water dining experiences.
Golfers can relish the 18-hole golf course and accompanying clubhouse while nature lovers can take to the expansive grounds. Bass, bream, and catfish are plentiful in the nearby Tennessee River where fishers can spend their days baiting hooks under the warm sun. The state park also offers a vast network of trails for hiking and mountain biking, allowing you to take in this unique and beautiful Alabama scenery.
In addition to the lakeside cottages and the main resort lodge you can stay in a wooded cabin on the state park grounds or at one of 116 campsites available throughout the park. Almost all of these sites have hookups for water, electricity, and sewer and bathhouses are available near each campground.
