Minneopa State Park is a beautiful park near Mankato, Minnesota. It's about 80 miles south of Minneapolis. This area is a great place to visit on a day trip thanks to the many things there are to do both at the park and beyond.

The park covers 4,643 acres, much of it prairie. There is a herd of bison that roams the park. A driving route through the park makes it easy to catch a glimpse. Along the way, you'll also spot waving prairie grasses and wildflowers.
