For the most part, Minnesota’s landscape is flat. Sure, there are a few rolling hills in the southeast Bluff Country. There’s even a small mountain range, the Sawtooth Mountains, up north. By and large, though, the North Star State is known for its 10,000 beautiful lakes. But there are a few places where you can get a great view from above, including a lovely lesser-known bird observatory in Duluth. When you visit, you can gaze upon the North Shore from high above the surrounding area. During wintertime, the view is even more beautiful under a heavy coat of snow.
