New Jersey is a beautiful state but, when it comes to winter – avoid it at all costs. The Garden State is an absolute mess. You absolutely do not want to visit! Think that will scare the out-of-staters away? Locals know better but we’d bet some people believe our state should be skipped during the snowy season. You know what they say…
Well, it's not warm, but there are 28 states with average winter temperatures lower than ours. We come in at a cozy 33 degrees while states like Maine and Minnesota average under 20 degrees Fahrenheit!
Between 1981 and 2010, Atlantic City received an average of 16.5 inches of snow. Nearby cities including Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Columbus, Ohio totaled around 30 inches of snow each year. You can thank our warm ocean air.
