The Badlands are most closely associated with South Dakota, where the Badlands National Park is located, but the region actually stretches into Montana. The Terry Badlands, as the area is called, is every bit as beautiful as the national park, and the sunsets and sunrises are to die for.

One of the most popular spots is the Calypso Trail, which is 14.8 miles of wildflowers, natural rock formations, and fresh air.
