As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Recently, the website House Beautiful named the 60 most charming towns in the country, and the little town of Cottage Grove, Oregon was number two on the list! It’s certainly not hard to see how this town got its ranking. Check it out:
You'll find the quaint town of Cottage Grove just 20 miles south of Eugene. The town is home to around 10,000 people, which means that it's large enough to have plenty of amenities, but small enough that it still has that hometown feel.
...and it's just one of the six bridges in and around town. The Currin Covered Bridge was built in 1925, and it's another pretty bridge that's particularly photogenic.
The bridge was restored in 2011, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Take the town's Covered Bridges Scenic Bikeway to see all the bridges!

You'll also want to pay a visit to Saginaw Vineyard, where you'll find a lovely, rural setting and some award-winning wines.
There are plenty of outdoor exploration opportunities everywhere you look here!
