Central Louisiana tends to get overlooked, and that’s a shame. Also known as the Crossroads, this region of Louisiana tends to be a nature lover’s dream, and it’s home to some of the oldest attractions in the state, like Natchitoches. Next time you find yourself in “CenLA,” be sure to book a stay at the Hotel Bentley, one of the oldest and most haunted hotels in Central Louisiana.
Welcome to the Hotel Bentley, a premier luxury hotel right in the heart of Alexandria.
He built a large apartment on one of the top floors and also had installed his own private elevator, both of which remain today. Bentley lived there until he passed away in 1938.

Over the years, the hotel has seen many guests come and go…but some never leave.
Another spirit that has been seen by several people over the years is that of a young girl who fell to her death when she tripped down an elevator shaft. She is sometimes seen in random hallways when you step out of the elevator.
And if you glance up and see a figure on the staircase, you better look twice.
A man fell down the stairs in 1985 and is believed to still haunt the hotel, and several people have seen shadowy figures on the staircase and along the rails.
