What’s The Deal With Psycho Suzi’s?
Psycho Suzi’s was a restaurant that was all about losing the pretension and having a good time. With intentionally tacky décor, strong Tiki drinks, and a robust set of event programming, the restaurant was meant to encourage visitors to relax and let loose.
In addition to good vibes, Psycho Suzi’s had a huge patio facing the Mississippi River; in fact, it was the only riverfront dining in Minneapolis, so you were in for a unique experience no matter what. On the menu, you’d find delicious pizza recipes and an array of fried goodies worthy of a state fair.
At the Shangri-la Cocktail Lounge, you’d find three different bars all serving up wild drinks and you could rent out the two-story space for your own party. No matter what kind of adventure you were looking to have, you could do it at Psycho Suzi’s.
Psycho Suzi’s Motor Lounge closed down after 20 years as a Minneapolis icon on August 19, 2023.
