I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Hovey’s Diner was first opened as Mike’s East Side in 1952. Initially, it served mainly ice cream until owner Jerry Hovey decided to add food options to the menu. It is located in the small city of Olney in Southern Illinois.
With exceptional food and service, Hovey’s Diner is as good as it gets when it comes to an old-school diner. Dine-in and carryout options are available. Have you ever been to Hovey’s Diner? Learn more from the official website, or visit the Facebook page here.
