The Pinnacle Trail Is A 1-Mile Enchanting Forest Hike In New Hampshire

There’s nothing we love more than getting outside while the weather is nice. That doesn’t mean we have to wait for a cloudless day to enjoy nature. In fact, we’ve been loving some of the cloudier days with less people on the trails. But if you’re a bit less inclined to hit the trails when it’s not sunny, consider easing yourself in by taking a shorter hike. This one is just 1-mile and includes lots of those perfect New Hampshire forest views.

The Pinnacle Trail offers 1.1-miles of well-maintained beauty! And it's truly worth taking an afternoon to explore if you love New Hampshire's nature.

To find it, head to Pinnacle Street in Hooksett. The sign at the parking area for the trailhead is marked with "Pinnacle Park."

You'll start your hike on the trail heading through the trees. While the trail isn't marked with blazes, most of the time the edges have logs marking the route so be sure to stay within them.

While the elevation gain here is minimal at about 200-feet, there are a few areas leading to the summit that feel inclined.

With all the forest beauty, there's a good chance you won't even notice.

And, for a reasonably flat trail, the views at the top are outstanding.

The hike should take about 30 to 45-minutes and when you reach the summit you'll be rewarded with beautiful views of Hookset.

This hike is wonderful throughout the year. Fall foliage is outstanding and the greens of spring and summer are incredible. Even winter provides the kind of views you'll only ever find here in New Hampshire!
