When a restaurant’s been in business for nearly 100 years, they’ve got to be doing something right. And in the case of Coney Island Station, that “something” is hot dogs. A La Crosse legend, Coney Island Station opened its first location on 4th Street in 1922.
Since the opening of the original Coney Island Station in downtown La Crosse, three additional locations have been opened - two in La Crosse and one in Holmen.
It’s not just the hot dogs that patrons love, though. The eatery’s signature chili sauce is also a customer favorite, and the perfect addition to any hot dog.
Can’t make it to Coney Island Station? No problem. The eatery will actually ship its hot dogs and famous chili sauce to any state in the country – something it’s been doing since 1998, when a former La Crosse resident requested that the eatery ship 100 hot dogs to Hawaii.
