It's a popular hike thanks to its scenery and waterfall, and it also holds a lot of history as this land has long been traversed.
Today, you can walk along paths that were once crossed by those in carriages.

Much of the trail is through the woods and shaded, but it is rated moderate. Expect some rocky terrain and steep climbs. Right now, there is also a detour at the beginning of the trail, so be sure to follow the signs.
The trail has a little bit of everything and kids will love the bridges and creek views.

This is a popular spot for photos, but you'll want to stay off the train tracks as much as possible.

Eventually you will reach the cascade of Tioga Falls, which is especially beautiful after rainfall.
