One of the best ways to appreciate the state of Massachusetts is by getting outside and looking around at all the incredible beauty that surrounds us. For many of us, just stepping outside our homes means an amazing view. But even if that’s the case, there’s something special about making a dedicated trip to the outdoors. This trip, to a lovely state park, features a short hike to a waterfall and you can make the journey in an afternoon.

Head to the town of Dalton and you'll find Wahconah Falls State Park, a lovely Massachusetts gem that can sometimes be overshadowed by larger state parks.
