Welcome The Arrival Of Autumn On The Albert Loop Trail In Alaska
The seasons are officially transitioning! The leaves are changing, the temperatures are dropping, and it’s the perfect time of year to get out on a fall hike in Alaska. Whether you’d like to get a good walk in, or you want to hunt down some beautiful foliage, this lovely hike is a great way to spend an afternoon.

The Eagle River Nature Center in Eagle River is host to dozens of beautiful trails to explore. The Albert Loop Trail is an easily accessible trail that shows off the beautiful seasonal changes.

The trail itself is short and offers a boardwalk over the water for better views into the valley. It’s an easy 3.2 mile loop.

The entire elevation gain throughout the trail is only 479 feet. This is a great hike for all skill levels and abilities.

There’s plenty of wildlife to spot, including bears and moose, so keep your eyes peeled and practice good Alaska backcountry safety. Wear a good pair of boots because the trail may be muddy depending on the amount of recent rain.

It’s $5.00 per car. If you’d like to become an Eagle River Nature Center member, you can get an annual parking pass that starts at $30.00 for a Student or Senior membership, or a Basic level membership that costs $50.00 annually.
