As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
We all need to escape the chaos of daily life every once in a while, and there’s no better place to do just that than the Piney Woods of East Texas. First Cast Cabin is located directly on Caddo Lake, offering unparalleled views, endless relaxation, and enough modern amenities to make you feel right at home.
Just steps away from the shores of Caddo Lake, First Cast Cabin is perfect for those times when you need to get away from it all. This secluded bungalow features 60 feet of direct waterfront access, so it’s a nature lover’s paradise.
Although unpretentious, the interior boasts updated furniture, DirecTV, and a host of modern amenities. Even still, the rustic farmhouse charm is impossible to deny — and, in our opinion, only adds to the appeal.
A cozy little kitchen is fully stocked with basics like pots & pans, oil, salt & pepper, baking sheets, dishes, and utensils. Appliances include a fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave, and coffee maker. There’s also a BBQ grill outside, so you can sear up some juicy steaks for a family cookout.
With two beds and one bath, the cabin accommodates up to four guests. Pillows soft as clouds, luxurious sheets, and central A/C all make for a blissful night’s sleep. Shampoo, body wash, and a hairdryer are provided in the bathroom.
The dining room boasts unparalleled lakefront views. Shrouded in a thick blanket of Spanish moss, the iconic bald Cypress trees cast an eerie, yet peaceful shadow on the water. Gather round and enjoy a formal dinner, or head out to the screened porch for a more relaxing meal.
Most of your stay will likely be spent outdoors, considering the cabin has its own private dock. Also included are two kayaks, a couple of fishing poles, paddles, life vests, and a small cooler. So many activities to fill your days with!
Plenty of firewood is available for those crisp East Texas nights. Roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories as the flames lick the evening air and offer warmth to all.
