Feel like a kid all over again with a visit to North Carolina’s waterfall sliding board. Sliding Rock, as it’s called, is a 60-foot natural water slide in the forest near Brevard. The waterfall is a popular attraction that’s operated 365 days a year, with lifeguards on duty from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
The attraction is found very near to another popular waterfall, Looking Glass Falls and is powered by the flow of Looking Glass Creek. Load up the car and get on the road and don't let summer come to a close without a fun day on this natural sliding board.
Sliding Rock is found in the Pisgah National Forest and is operated by Pisgah Hospitality Partners. There's a $4 fee per person and it includes an unlimited number of spins down the waterfall.
Going in the summer? Put this adventure on your list for early in the day. When the parking area is full, you’ll either be asked to wait or to come back later in the day. Learn more, including hours of operation, from the Sliding Rock page on the U.S. National Forest website.
