Living in the Sunshine State is pretty close to living in paradise, but it’s not completely perfect. There are some common struggles we can all relate to that many out-of-staters just don’t understand.
1. Having to go to work or school indoors when it looks like this outside:
This one is really, really hard.
2. Deciding which park to visit this time.
Especially if everyone in your family has their own favorite one.
3. When you choose to go to UF and your brother/sister/best friend is headed to FSU.
Prepare for a lifetime of "friendly" rivalry.
4. Trying to figure out the best ways to deal with the ridiculous heat and humidity in the summer.
Yes, it really seems ridiculous sometimes.
5. Choosing which Pub Sub you're going to have for lunch.
The struggle is real.
6. Trying to stay cool with wet clothes and hair because you forgot your umbrella.
And trying not to go ballistic on whoever took the spare one out of the car and didn't put it back.
7. Having to go to work when you'd rather be fishing.
If you listen closely, you can hear a thousand tiny fish whispers calling your name.
8. Trying to decide which beautiful beach to go to on the weekend.
Seriously, it's not easy to choose between the top beaches in the country. Pictured: Ormond Beach.
9. Or which cool and clear spring to enjoy in the summer.
If you've ever been to some of our picturesque springs, you'll completely understand this one.

10. And the hardest part of living in Florida is deciding what to do next.
With all of our museums, gardens, state parks, beaches, charming small towns and lively big cities, Florida has something for everyone. The hard part is trying to see it all.
